I am seeing many articles lately that make me uncomfortably think that The West/NATO is preparing for a military conflict with Russia.
War proponents argue that Russia needs to be stopped, in order to prevent her from attacking/invading other European countries (Poland, Germany etc) and parallels are made with WWII; Putin is the new Hitler, and Neville Chamberlain's naive mistake in Munich, 1938, must not be repeated.

A visit to Kiev on Friday by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who is set to sign a security agreement with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, would ensure British troops would be openly deployed to Ukraine.
- In his latest column Boris Johnson encourages Brits to join the military. He also writes:
I don’t think we will have a direct military confrontation, with Russia or any other potential adversary, of a kind that would necessitate such a levée en masse. I believe that war is always a disaster, always a tragedy, and that it is perhaps the prime job of statesmanship to avert it.
In lockstep with the UK, an "expert" in Australia now demands to bring back military conscription to "boost troop numbers" as an "all-out war with Russia looms."
The issue is more pressing as generals and admirals warn we must live in a militarised society and prepare for what they think is an inevitable war against Russia. They could get their way. If you go on backing this policy, you could be condemning yourself, your children or grandchildren to a world of war, privation and perhaps conscription into some sort of military service.
