CliMaTe ChAnGe denier here, I know this will probably hit in the wrong angle but I will try to hopefully make my point without vastly changing your world view, since I was a kid I heard people talking about climate change/global warming, at first I was like "great because I don't like the cold".
But as the years go on I heard it's a bad thing for the climate to change, but then I am like "don't we already have diferent climates in diferent regions of the world already and also change of seasons?" They said the will end in 15 years because we will all be under water. Now It started to worry me a little bit, how am I supposed have kids? My future is doomed. But then I grew up.
I realized these gloomy scares scenarios have always been here since beginning of time, when it's not global population exploding to unsustainable levels in the 60's it's global population decline scare of today, when it's not ice age coming back now it's global warming accelerating on us. So I realized it's all about control, power and influence. Governments like these 3 things and they like telling you what to do, think or what think about and fear is great tool of totalitarian control.
One more thing governments like is money printing, let me print all kinds of money to fix the climate change problem (that never existed in the first place) for our kids future, how can you argue against that? You're a terrorist and you're putting yourself and everybody else at climate death risk, you should be a shame of yourself.
Ok, here is what I think, climate change is a big scam and yes Tesla is a scam too because the government is subsydizing it through credits and making everyone else grocery bills more expensive.
I am sure in few decades we will be worrying about the world getting to cold with right ponzy scheme setup, I am glad I skip this clown world long ago with #Bitcoin. And I know there are many clown Bitcoiners who think we need to build more SoLaR to power mining even though they know it's not compatitive, that's the word right there "compatitive". In the world of Bitcoin there is no bailouts, no tax breaks nor credits, it's a free market of ideas, businesses energy and money and that's where I want to be.
What Happened to Acid Rain ? I was taught at school we would have to wear Hazmat suits to Go out side in the early 2000's (early 80's curriculum) Don't know what to believe anymore. Certainly don't buy in to their hype.

After going through COVID and the subsequent actions and facts that have come out over time, I find it very hard to believe there are not ulterior motives behind anything the government or media says, or take them at face value.

I'd tend to agree with you.
Climate change is real, so they are not wrong there. However, what they fail to tell us is that there has always been climate change in the world and if you take decades or 100s of years as your measure, there have been ups and downs in temperatures as well. So, it is not as scary as people make it out to be. That said, releasing less CO2 is never a bad thing, so whatever it is that will reduce polution, it is a good thing. So, instead of climate change, we should talk about climate pollution (not sure who said this, but it is a much better way to think about this).
Yes the climate was never static and could never be bc earth is always moving around the sun therefore we have those ups and down changes, that's not s bad thing
