800 000 signatures to get a plebiscite, in Hessen, they say. Legally it's around 350 000, which means they're overcalculating the needed margin by at least a factor of two, no doubt to combat attempts to throw out signatures.
Also, the law states that it has to be "accepted" (💀) before going to a vote, that matters of state income and budge cannot be decided by the people, and that until now, exactly 0 plebiscites have been successful in Hessen.
The liberal democratic state is built to simulate democracy while in fact be unchangeable in anything that matters.
