Best to draft and develop your own in your system. If you are going to go with a high skilled, highly athletic QB your offense should be built around that type of QB. I think that's one of the reasons Lance never worked in SF. He never fit the system and Shanahan wasn't going to alter it for him. 

I'm so worried about the Fields and Russell rumors. If they trade up for one of the top draft prospect, fine, but I want the carousel of retread quarterbacks to end.

I think he will be a good OC. Wasn't a great head coach. Let's be honest, he got the AZ job because he coached Patrick Mahomes in college.

I do think it might be an indication the Raiders will look for a different style of QB. I think O'Connell is suited to running a 49ers style offense. Read defenses, make good decisions get the ball to the playmakers. I think these types of QBs don't get enough credit these days. Not every guy can be Mahomes or Lamar Jackson.
