I haven't actually understand how this will make more adoption of Bitcoin amongst people. What I understand is issuers buy bitcoin and sell etf to customers behalf of that. So this way it get to more audience and some what credible and legal.
Also then what about peer to peer electronic cash ?

I think it depends on your definition of adoption, the ETF caters to a market that is desperately looking for alpha and Bitcoin can offer that, its great for portfolio managers and ETF issuers and arb traders raking in the fees between the ETF and Bitcoin, and kinda for the normie who gets a little Bitcoin exposure but really they the putz at the table
As for wider adoption it could help indirectly by keeping coins off the market and providing more liquidity so that those in other parts of the world can get access to a deeper pool of capital and price appreciation to spend with, build with and generate economic activity
