I tried to set it up tonight without success.
Can you elaborate on what didn't work? Any software messages you are getting?
I have seen other software not like an un-trusted ssl certificate from the start9 OS
I currently only use Damus on iOS, and Coracle in Chrome when I'm on desktop.
I can't zap using Damus anymore, because Apple decided to be arbitrary and capricious over nothing. So, whenever I want to zap someone, I open my laptop and get on Coracle.
Last night, I installed Nostr Wallet Connect on my Start9 node to play around with it. I setup a "secret" through the NWC web UI. But there was nowhere in Coracle to add it. I tried adding it to my Lightning Address, but it still seemed to default to Alby when zapping. So that didn't work.
I was able to add it Damus because Damus has a "Wallet" setting that seemed to work with NWC. However, I can't zap using Damus anyway, so that does me no good.
I had never used Zapple Pay before, so I decided to take this opportunity to try it and see if my NWC worked on Damus. So I followed BTC Session's YouTube video on how to use Zapple Pay. Tried sending a test zap with an emoji from Damus, and it did not send. Not sure whether NWC or Zapple Pay was the issue there.
This is the point where I decided to give up and post here.
The documentation says this:
  • In your Nostr client app, find the setting for connecting your lightning node and select Nostr Wallet Connect. For noStrudel, this is in Settings -> Lightning.
Yea... well Coracle doesn't have anything like that. Damus does..... but I can't zap with Damus anyway, so it's kinda useless.
My current hunch is that individual client apps have to implement NWC in order to give users a place to input the secret. Coracle probably doesn't have it yet? But even my Damus + Zapple Pay test didn't work, so I dunno. That's where I've left it.
