A good podcast app is one that works reliably wherever you are (and whether you have an internet connection or not). Up until now, audio downloads on Fountain have only worked when the app is in the foreground.
In Fountain 1.0.6 we made some major improvements to our downloads manager. Episodes will now download in the background on your device - even if your connection drops out.

Since my phone's memory is low, I never download. But that's a nice feature who want to use it. I hope you have put a button to turn off downloads.
