My article “10 reasons why you should post on Stacker News” worked: #415525. I received two referrals yesterday,

I don’t know who my referees are (though if you are reading this, pls send me a DM so that I can zap you welcome sats), whether they would fit in with the ethos embodied by this site, or even whether I would gain sats from my effort. But well, I can only do my best and leave the rest to the Universe.

Which leads to the next question: how do I get more referrals?

I can’t be posting the same old stuff on my blog every day.

I was showering when a brainwave came to me. Can Stacker News post a monthly sats earnings report? Would that be difficult to implement?

Let me use Publish0x as an example. You can see the amount of ETH and OP I have obtained this month:

What some content creators do is to post their monthly earnings garnered from all their sources of income. Interest in this kind of content is immense. We all (or at least, I do) have a voyeuristic interest in finding out how successful our fellow writers are.

I believe that doing so would increase the visibility of Stacker News and attract more people to give it a go here. Of course, it may interfere with the values held by Stacker News. Are we gonna open the floodgates to crowds of money-grubbers?

I don’t have any answers to that, but I say: give people a chance. One of my first posts was about Sweatcoin - and I was memorably whipped into shape by Darthcoin (#105265). I have since deleted that non-utility app haha.
