Where is Marty bent when you need him?

Just got out of a virtual county planning meeting where a gas company is going to use a “virtual pipeline” to inject natural gas from a landfill into their pipeline to prevent flaring.

Gee you might ask what is a “virtual pipeline??””

Well what they do is take the natural gas from the landfill put it on a truck drive it let’s say a good 20 to 30 miles to the temporary injection point and dump it in the pipeline. They plan on doing this 24/7 for 10 to 11 months. It works out to be 12 trucks a day.

And of course the trucks drive right next to my home.

Clearly the landfill company doesn’t know they can have miners on site and just sell the gas to the miners but nope I gotta live with this “virtual pipeline” for the next 10-11 months 😩

Are all banking apps getting purposefully slower?

I know the answer for some is ‘zero fiat’ and abandon ship, but it’s a recent change and wondered if others had noticed the same.

These apps established themselves as speedy and snappy, a better UX and are now all copying each other’s sluggish ‘super app’ features. These days it seems like every banking app I use is performing background metadata mining or some sort of heavy work on mobile before logging in. At least with European banks this is.
