It was hit and miss when I was down there unless you stay near the bitcoin enclaves. But that will change slowly. My biggest problem was the LN network and their wallet software had some reliability issues. They'll need to fix the roads, hospitals, and water situation. Weather was epic. El Zonte was awesome bitcoin be damned. I kinda ended up down there by mistake.

Agree, except that the LN network works very well. It's Chivo that is buggy and causes people to mistakenly think bitcoin is broken. Blink, on the other hand, as well as most good LN-capable wallets, works pretty much perfectly.
