Has anyone found a place where you can read about the bulk of lightning's history in one place? Like many, I really enjoyed The Blocksize Wars and am trying to find histories of other parts of bitcoin as well.

I was about to say the same thing. We are kind of witnessing it now. There also isn't a big drama yet to write a story around.
It took ~3 years for The Blocksize Wars to come out after.
That said, there's probably something, somewhere that has a decent chronological account of Lightning.
