Skin - Look But Don't Touch
A top rocking track from their first album in '94. Nev MacDonald has a great voice and Myke Gray sure can play guitar. Thankfully saw them live at least 3 or 4 times.

nice one, never heard :)

This gives me Diamond David Lee Roth vibes. Or foghat. Wicked sound.
Also reminds me a little of Extreme and FM. I really can't place it but it's got all those elements. Great track.
Sorta like this track , which is proper funky rock

Great Extreme track. Listened to Pornograffitti a lot back in the day. Saw them when they supported Bryan Adams at the City ground, Maine Rd in 92. They played this one as the last track.

That sounds like a cracking gig. Unfortunately I wouldn't have been able to attend on account of being 2 🤣 I was born in the wrong era for my music tastes.
reply
😂🤣 I was only 2, I spat my tea at that, very good. Yes, it's shame but not a great deal you could have done about it. Luckily some of the bands have reunited and done gigs and festivals in recent years. I do miss those£10 tickets and no Ticketmaster (bastards). I think this particular concert was£20, but BA was big and we got Extreme, Squeeze and Little Angels. Cracking gig. Plus we went to Maine Rd which is in Moss Side, Manchester and we got out unscathed, phew.

Ooofff you survived Manny. Yikes.
Yeah festivals like download is how I tend to get to see these older bands. But unfortunately my parents chose to themselves be born a little too late to have me at a time that would have suited my music tastes. I blame them it's their fault 🤣

I think the grandparents need to take some blame here as well, what were they all thinking 😂

Some Sonata Arctica from me this morning. Tony's vocals have always been incredible. They bring the right amount of powerful lyrics with power metal and make great music.
Hope you enjoy.
reply
Totally from the 80 s sound :)
reply
Nice one. Great track. Something about this appeals to my 80's 90's tastes, rock on.
reply
Power metal is that really cool fusion of power ballads, power rock and symphonic metal.
Try "last drop falls" by the same band. Really great track.

Tom Petty - Breakdown (Live)
He let's the crowd sing the first part, superb.
The concert was shown on BBC2 one night not long after he released Don't Come Around Here No More in '85. I taped it (them were the days) and watched it endlessly. Brilliant, loved his stuff ever since.
reply
Looks like a wicked live performance. Taped it 😂 yikes (don't worry I do remember using VHS) but I couldn't say I ever had any experience between beta max and VHS 😂

Chill Tuesday

An Aussie band I discovered recently called Hollow Coves I like this laid back, easy going track called The Open Road It has some really chilled folky vibes
reply
Ooooooo I'm enjoying this. Listening as I type. It is really chilled and I can hear those folky elements you're talking about. Great submission I like it so far but I'm only a minute or so in.
reply
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm kicking back and chillin after all the ones I posted yesterday! 😜😂

Her voice is what I yearn for because it take me places where emotions resides
reply
Stunning voice. Such incredible control aswell. And such a beautiful song. Definitely puts a lump in your throat. Such a shame she's dealing with SPS :(
Her voice works really nicely with the BeeGees which isn't a combination you'd normally put together, power ballads and disco pop? And yet here we are with a great piece of music.

Ooooo very nice. Love her vocals. And Joe Bonamassa is a fantastic guitarist.

Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts. The band comprises John Petrucci (guitar), John Myung (bass), Mike Portnoy (drums), James LaBrie (vocals) and Jordan Rudess (keyboards).
reply
Man dream theater are absolute magicians of music. They're technical ability is incredible. Such complex songs construction and amazing concepts. I got a lot of love for dream theater (if I got 20mins spare to listen to 1 track 🤣, they're as bad for long songs as Yes 🤣)
