Following a record-breaking December, the insolvency landscape among individuals and corporations in Germany maintains its steadfast stance into January, as elucidated by the latest analysis from the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research Halle (IWH). January witnesses 1,077 insolvencies in Germany, a figure nearly on par with the preceding month but strikingly higher than the same period last year. And the business climate in the SME sector, the basis of the German economy, continues to plummet, as the latest surveys show.
