Big fan of this. Remember coming across McKenna and this lecture/video as I was reading a biography of Alexander the Great. There are all these stories from his youth that displayed extraordinary courage (some probably apocryphal, but others likely true), kind of explains why so many men followed him into battle. One of the greatest speeches every given too, when his soldiers wanted to turn back and go home (Afghanistan I think).
