Voice like absolute velvet.
For romantic valentine's weeks plans (because let's face it it's always a week and not just a day). The musical gotta be Luther Vandross, Barry Manolo, and Boyz II Men.
Beautiful track.
Brill!

Going down the Cat Stevens 🐇🕳️ todayGoing down the Cat Stevens 🐇🕳️ today
view on www.youtube.comview on www.youtube.comAnd for that bit of Greek flavour this morningAnd for that bit of Greek flavour this morning
view on www.youtube.comPeace Train and Wild World, that's my childhood listening right there. My dad didn't have a large album collection but thankfully Cat Stevens was in there.
Ruby Love reminds me of "The Durrells" theme tune 😄
Great 70s tracks. I'd never heard of Cat Stevens. But he's got so much British rock and roll in his style, like the Beatles sorta sound.
Wild world is one I've heard before but didn't realise who it was.
That greek fusion was really odd at first, purely cos they're not sounds I'd expect to be meshed together but it fits so nicely and adds a really fun element to the song.
Keeping me busy with all these today 👊
Cat Stevens is one of the greatest. Have fun going down that hole...
Wild World was covered, quite famously, by Mr Big. They did a good version of it!
Interesting that Cat said it was actually about himself. I didn't know that.
view on www.youtube.comNow you say Mr Big I immediately hear it. I was listening to Mr Bigs Undertow the other day but when I heard wild world it sent my brain to Mr Big so perhaps that's where I picked it up from.
Listening to Mr Big Wild World now, and yeah I think this is the version I've heard on the radio before.
Ronan Keating, Yusuf - Father And SonRonan Keating, Yusuf - Father And Son
view on www.youtube.comOh hell 02 you after the heart strings today. That's a lovely track. Very stock Keating, his voice fits that style so well. That's a bit of a tear jerker thinking about loss and father's. Damn 02 you got me right in the feels today. Beautiful song, with beautiful lyrics.
It definitely tug on the hearts strings - every time! Such a beautiful song.
I love how Ronan has always, apologetically, sung in his Irish accent.
Authentic is what it is. Too many singers try to hide their accents or even put one on to be more appealing to certain audiences. Singers keeping their authentic selves accents and all, for my money, always come across better.

Here's a good one to start your weekend
view on www.youtube.comPuts a spring in your step for sure. Happy Saturday 03👊
Happy Saturday to you too P_N_M_E.
My weekend job is to come up with a username, that's better than 03d1 blah blah.
Possibly the most difficult job known to man, that and a password that you haven't used before.
I'd just gotten used to calling you 03 🤣🤣 like Luke calls R2D2, R2 or C3PO just 3PO.
The current random track on my spotify
Im a sucker for a cover. And they nail this. I also gave their version of "losing my religion" a go and really enjoyed that too.
The heart shaped box cover has a really creepy sound to it, it sounds very ominous. It's a completely different sound to the original or the nirvana version. It's a good cover, making it their own without disrespecting the original. Great submission Bellzer.
I'm usually a sucker for covers too
Oh Bellzer do I have some albums of covers and stuff to be recommending you over the course over the course of the next couple weeks... Gives me an idea for a new segment... A covers day. Maybe you'd wanna run it? If not that's cool, but if you got loads I'd definitely support you in a covers segment. Become a ~Music content creator.
Hmm I could probably swing that. What would I need to do.
Simple really. Pick a day and put out a post in the ~music territory, maybe give it some kinda fun name for a section.
BTC - Bellzers Top Covers? As an example. And then just give people a cover track you enjoy and a little blurb as to why you enjoy it and how you feel it shapes up to the original perhaps 🤔. I reckon you'd get some decent engagement from people who enjoy good covers.
What days of the week do you currently have a theme?
Monday, Thursday, Friday, and then self promotion Sunday. But I wouldn't worry about clashing. Jerry does a post every day. I wouldn't be concerned with clashing days, we're not in competition with each other we're all working together. At least that's how I see it.
Little Angels - All Roads Lead To YouLittle Angels - All Roads Lead To You
One of the last tracks that they released and personally one of my favourites. Nice bit of sax in their for good measure
view on www.youtube.comGotta say I kinda love the sax and brass usage with the 80s rock sound. his voice kinda reminds me a little of Buckcherry and those sort of rock bands. Great find, these guys will be hitting my playlists for sure.
The "Big Bad Horns" became a feature of their albums and toured with them as well. They added a great additional all round sound to their rock songs.
I have a lot of time for brass instruments. They add so much oomph to a piece.
Luke Morley - This WorldLuke Morley - This World
Hard to chose a track from Luke Morley's (Thunder) first solo album, they're all great. This is a standout.
view on www.youtube.comThat intro had me waiting for some thick southern American country artist. And then his vocals hit and he sounds more Brian Adams than Luke Coombs.
Wicked voice, great submission as usual 03, took me by surprise.
It's a brilliant, brilliant album, one to relax and enjoy. I was surprised he's such a good vocalist, as he's normally the lead guitarist with Thunder as well as the main songwriter.
He's criminally underrated as songwriter and has written some fantastic songs over the years for Thunder, himself and for the two albums he did with Danny Bowes (lead singer with Thunder)
He's that Luke Morley? I hadn't put that together!! I thought it was just another guy with the same name.
I agree with you there, very underrated vocalist he sounds great.
Little Angels - Radical Your LoverLittle Angels - Radical Your Lover
Scarborough's finest here with a cracker from their first album. Co written with The Dan Reed Network
Superb band live, lost my hearing multiple times over the years seeing these guys.
view on www.youtube.comThe late great Michael Lee was incredible on the drums, so good he was poached by The Cult. The big bad horns added an extra level to their music, quite a difference for most rock bands of the early '90s.
Not much comes out of Scarborough, but this was great, right up my alley of genres. That 80s rock style. That hair man, they just all look the part.
Hold up, is she playing a washboard? That's one way to do percussion I guess 😂 I got time for artists with novel instruments, it showcases their ingenuity aswell as their talent.
Very nice track, really easy to listen to, and that fiddle solo was wicked! ( I Say fiddle because there's a small difference between a violin and a fiddle and it's largely in the style in which it's played and the style sounds more fiddle than violin).
Yes... would love to see them live. This sort of folky bluegrass is typically very pedestrian but this band finds that space where it really resonates.
Heading on over to Finland with Lordi and their Eurovision winning Hard Rock Hallelujah! Enjoy!

I think it was 2003? Maybe 2004? And I remember it was wicked fun to watch that year. I think people are getting tired of the cookie cutters formulaic stuff and want something different.
An 80's feel good tune!
Chaka Khan,
I feel for you...
