All star weekend came and gone. What follows is the all star break, which means I won't be posting NBA updates until next Thursday.

Today's all star game was uncompetitive and lackluster. It looked more like a shoot around than a legit basketball game. Everyone forgot how to play defense and the whole game was 3 point contest number 2, where everyone was shooting 3 points for most of the game.

Also, I felt Haliburton got snubbed on the all star game MVP. Yes Dame had the most points on the winning team, yes he also made 2 logo shots; but Haliburton was shooting 71.4% from 3 with 10/14 3 pointers made/shot. Although on the losing team, I thought KAT could get the MVP, as he scored 50, had 31 points in the 4th, and actually tried to keep the game entertaining with dunks and plays nears the hoop.

A few highlights for me. Haliburton shooting 5/5 3 pointers early in the 1st. LeBron dunking like he was still 20 years old. Trae Young's nutmeg on Kevin Durant. Dame's two half court shots made. Jalen Brunson dunking. KAT going for it in the 4th. Joker's almost dunk put-in. The numerous epic fails by Luka Doncic. And of course, my subjective play of the day, Joker and Doncic playing volleyball from coast to coast, then finish by assisting a SGA dunk.
