In many discussions of scalability, numbers come up about the total number of users who might be able to open/close a channel in a specific period of time.
A related metric is how much of today's block space is being used for lightning channel management. I realize perfect information is impossible but Mempool.space didn't seem to have anything so I want to ask here, are there any dashboards or sites that show such?
I've been reading that only channel openings and closings are stored on the blockchain. If I understand correctly (please correct me if I'm wrong), the amount of space required is calculated by multiplying the number of openings and closings by the size of a typical transaction. This doesn't seem like it would take up much space. What kind of conclusions can be drawn from this data? Is the number of active channels not enough to draw the same conclusions?

This data would help estimate the real-world capacity of the blockchain to service lightning channels, nodes, and users. Active (known) channels is more like a snapshot but yes with more info on the block space this required we could place a better ceiling on how much headroom we have with current techniques.

This is a legitimate question and I also wanna know if there's one?

I know there's a force-close bot running somewhere on X or Nostr, just haven't seen any service where aggregate data could be referenced.
