Well this is definitely something no-one else I know has heard of. Is she playing a tanpura or a sitar?? It's difficult for me to be able to tell the difference.

I don't know the difference! I like how Indian music is unafraid to experiment, there's no presumption of wrongness even in live performances. Where I am, most musicians can't finish an attempt without stopping and commenting with disclaimers.

Yikes... Imagine having to stop and make disclaimers for saying something. What a world we live in. Yeah I can't tell the difference between a tanpura or a sitar not just by ear I wouldn't and I probably wouldn't be able to recognise one from the other... I'm sure someones going to come in here and tell me I'm dumb as rocks because they're completely different and obvious 🤣🤣
