Anyone who had thought that last year's shot across the bow on the bond markets had been warning enough for the Eurozone's statists to finally show some fiscal restraint is bitterly disappointed. During the meeting of finance ministers in Belgium in Ghent, the President of the European Central Bank, Christin Lagarde, called for billions more in funding to combat the climate change that has been hallucinated and for European defense policy. All means are right to get the credit mechanism running again, the world of scarce resources is nothing but a wild conspiracy theory for these figures.
Here are a few numbers games from our friends at the EUSSR:
According to the ECB, 'Europe' is poised for significant investments in climate protection and defense and needs to move a staggering €800 billion to meet Europe's crazy climate goals by 2040. The European Commission has proposed reducing greenhouse gases by 90 percent compared to 1990 levels by that time. Good luck with that.
