i like the content. he usually writes decent blogs.
my main gripe is you can tell he doesn't understand the reason for types in languages and having them checked at compile time.

he is one the creators of Ruby On Rails and loves Ruby. So, he understands the trade offs, but is firmly not in the types camp. He has some blog posts on why he doesn’t like types. I’ve come around on types and I am a fan, but working with Go and Typescript every day, sometimes I just want to hack something out. What typed languages are you using?

Spoiler alert: the last editor he's seems to have chosen accepts bitcoin donations. And is, of course, FOSS.

vim, and now neovim, has been my last editor for the last 15 years... glad to see the creator of my main tool considering it 🤩
Picking some solid foundational tools is a super power, you invest some time at the beginning and then reap the rewards for the next 20 years, so you can focus on solving real problems and avoid bikeshedding.
In my case, it's: vim, ruby on rails, git, tmux, ~bitcoin and ~NixOS
