O God, source of all love and kindness, we gather before You on this new day with gratitude in our hearts. We ask that Your blessings accompany us as we begin this journey.

Help us, Lord, to put aside words that do not edify and to speak only what is good for the edification of others. May our words be carriers of kindness, encouragement and compassion, bringing comfort and hope to everyone around us.
