The NFL "combine" starts tomorrow. Considering the way they pronounce the name of the event, I was under the impression it was a series of farming related activities but apparently it does have something to do with football, along with some speed dating with GMs and measuring guys inseams (hopefully just inseams).

The combine is not really a big deal for the top ranked prospects but for some of the lesser known prospects it can be a make or break opportunity. A chance for them to position themselves to harvest glory or sorrow come draft day.

Seeing as I banished NFL network from my buffet of channel options in favour of the MLB network, I likely won't watch much of the combine but I am interested in seeing how a few potential 49ers OLine and Edge targets score.

With my own sorrow (might be a strong word but let's keep with the theme) of the Super Bowl loss now receded it is time to look forward to free agency and the draft and to how the 49ers can make their team even better.

Shill me where you want to see your team upgrade through Free agency and the draft and if there are any guys at the combine you are keeping an eye on.

I want us to land whoever the best free agent O-Lineman is and then draft another one.

I'm also interested in which day 2 QB appears to have the most upside potential.

OLine class is supposed to be strong this draft. I am really hoping the 49ers get a C,T and G. They definitely need to upgrade the right side especially if Feliciano leaves in FA.

Probably not as good as PFF but you don't need an account. I always set it to 7 rounds but on fast speed. Goes pretty quick.

I'm semi-addicted to mock draft simulators. PFN is the most fun, because of the trade offers.

I like https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-draft-simulator the most though, because it updates the big board and team needs better than the others.

I was actually thinking about doing some sort of mock draft post series. The problem is that I don't watch college football, so I don't know anything about these guys.

Yes, this is my problem too. I don't know most of these guys at all but I know the positional needs of the 49ers so it's fun.

I usually don't do trades but when I do I just go wild and trade like crazy. I ended up with 16 picks in one mock draft because teams kept offering me 3 for 1 picks to move down.

I will check out the site you recommended.
