What the... Russians adults are more optimistic than Americans?
From TFA: Youth is 12-15 and Adult is 16+. I suspect that biases this toward null hypothesis because I'm pretty sure the ignorance that best explains optimism extends on into the 20s or 30s.
They should have classified by year of birth: before or after 1980
Or under / over 40 years old
Median age in USA is 38 years
