In a lot of ways, whenever our technology advances into the future, it's simultaneously a reversion to the past.
And some of humanity's best creations are merely recreations of what nature does best.
Just look at Bitcoin: While things are packaged into a modernized, optimized set of code, Bitcoin is essentially reigning our "money technology" back to simpler times. It's more reminiscent of gold than whatever the meth-lab concoction that fiat is.
It's a bit corny to cast fiat onto every problem of the world, but many of our cities today seem to follow a similar trend. The more "advanced" we get, the less in touch we become with our past. When it comes back to bite us (like fiat has) then the natural response is...a return to nature, much like Bitcoin represents. Is that why futuristic utopian cities are all depicted with so much greenery?
Pretty much of all our technology is a reflection and attempt to recreate what nature does best.
The computer I'm typing on is the best thing we've come up with (so far) to replicate the human brain.
The Shinkansen bullet train replicates the head of a kingfisher bird for optimal streamlining and to lower the sound impact of the train as it passes by civilians.
What other technological designs do you notice that reflect what earth has already perfected?
Happy friday stackers :)
