My experience with the wallet: I've accessed the wallet with my nostr credentials and the wallet assigned an ecash address correctly, i.e. npub1krp2svs6w64y42w3aczwg292v3j905zag7yslzvq8z40uwsknr6sayrv57@npub.cash in my case. I noticed that there is nothing akin to settings>mints. Another thing is that if you want to generate a lightning invoice you need to click on My payment page>Send payment (I find it a bit confusing as I associate generating an ivoice with receiving a payment although one need to somehow send the invoice to the payer in order to get paid.
My questions:
  1. I have no ecash to claim yet, will the wallet ask me to choose my mints once I have something to claim? What the experience of y'all has been?
  2. Does it use any mint by default? I find it hard to imagine that the wallet may just wait for me to choose a mint after I received the payment of my invoice. I might tarry with that for days or weeks.

Thanks. Any reference?

Cash out some sats and see what mint your wallet connects to

Egge, their lead developer, recently mentioned to me on Nostr that right now it uses a default mint (not sure which one though). He's working on an API to change the mint and should be available next week. I for one intend to connect the wallet to my LNBits Cashu mint.

is it the same one npub.cash uses?

no, you just need to choose LN, generate an invoice from your LN wallet and paste it there; also do remember to claim the leftover fee with cashu, as it will overcharge a bit more sats at first.
As for your questions - from what I've noticed, the default goes to the minibits mint, but you can also set the default mint yourself and then choose to auto-swap to it.
