Today I made a post about Daily Rewards and Million Sat Madness. People made many on the post, expressing contrasting preferences regarding daily rewards and the new feature, Million Sat Madness. Personally, I like daily rewards.
But I was curious to see your preferences as statistics, that's why I'm posting this poll.
Daily Rewards 53.8%
Million Sat Madness 46.2%

one thing i like about million sat madness is that it is a low time preference version of rewards.
it also requires proof of work as it’s a direct competition among free market participants (where success is not guaranteed).
feels much more in line with the Bitcoin ethos, and seems to be raising the average post quality so far.

Could we see a larger list in the leaderboard? maybe with a line after the 64 or something. If we only see the top 64, it may be discouraging for the ones who don't see their names there and they may be number 65 which is not as bad as number 300 for example

good idea!

How would you feel about layering these different timescales?
25% Daily Rewards 25% Weekly Rewards 25% Monthly Rewards 25% Yearly Rewards
I do think there's value in the longer time frame, but it is nice getting the daily reward notifications.

definitely not opposed to the idea, but having 4 overlapping rewards systems at the same time is a lot to communicate

Maybe just two, then: 50% daily and 50% monthly

It sounds like a good idea!

I like that formula.
While I recognize the million sat madness is a great way to boost participation, the lack of a daily reward also limits the spending.
I thought in a 50/50 first.. but your idea is interesting

Having several different time scales rewards different types of users and might cut down on spammy content.

Well, i think any reward on participation will bring more spam,
Downzapping should count double in the million sat madness in order to promote cleaning
reply
I agree that downzapping should be more rewarded. Punishment is a public good, after all.
The reason I think it might cut down on spam, and this could be completely wrong, is that the bots are harvesting daily rewards. Their content isn't good so on the longer scales it will be less rewarded and the daily rewards will be much smaller.
