Same here, I own an S9 and bought the heater case from cryptocloaks.
Right now I see that the only people that do things kind of things with dual purpose use cases are Bitcoiners. Down the road I don't see it that way tho. To me, every technology gets smaller, faster and user friendly.
I don't think I might be alive to see it, but there is something about mining and everyday use appliances that really catches my attention.
I envision something as small as a nerdminer connected to fridges and getting more hashrate than the greatest and lastest like the Bitmain Antminer Kas Miner KS5 Pro.

it's a device that is almost always plugged into the wall anyway

Indeed. The mining process is important but doesn't do much if it doesn't serve a dual-purpose.
The idea that you can stuff bitcoin everywhere is true, but not necessary if for example doesn't heat your shed or heat your hot tub while mining.
Not sure if your comment was sarcastic or not but made me realize that lol
