Connecting Bitcoin node to a wallet

Hi! I would appreciate some help from more experienced node runners.
I am running Umbrel node and running Electrum Server there. I would like to connect it to my Trezor (optimally) or Electrum Wallet (alternatively). Yet despite the guides how to do, it I cannot seem to get it working the wallets cannot connect to my node neither using the local address or the external address (tried with or without the port.
This has been one of the guides I've been trying to use to get the most simple Electrum server - Electrum wallet working, without any success: https://community.umbrel.com/t/guide-connect-umbrel-to-your-wallet/7653
And it is worth noting that wallet can connect to any other node it finds just fine.
Any ideas or advice?

If you're willing to use Sparrow wallet you can bypass electrum server entirely.

Don't use Sparrow for mixing tho, use joinmarket for that.

I prefer using Electrs. It is written in Rust.
