Most of the art we see is defined by contracts controlled by the same kinds of publishing/broadcast/marketing entities. Bitcoin and any other digital coin that has value, allows instant remuneration for content. This means that things that are otherwise invisible gain potential visibility. It cuts out the middle people who decide what is a "good movie" or story and allows the tastes of the people who participate and support with digital funds to have a direct say that doesn't need any other kind of contract.
