My Bitcoin journey actually started with the question... What is money?
I was doing okay in life. I had a good job and made extra repayments on my home loan. I even started a few side hustles for a little extra income, not much, but enough to know it was possible.
Then one day I was reflecting on how hard I'd been working for so many years and still didn't really have any savings. Sure, I had some equity in my house but something seemed off.
That's when I started down the rabbit hole. What exactly was this thing we call money, spending most of our lives chasing? Why did it always feel like we can't get ahead? Always seemingly on the edge of having some savings only to have it taken away through circumstances.
I consumed everything on the topic. Listening to anyone and everyone without bias. Eventually after listening enough I started to see through scams and lies and separate truth from fabrication.
At some point something flipped in my mindset. I started to see changes the way I viewed money, made purchasing and investing decisions. At first slowly, then more quickly my networth grew.
Now I observe. Seeing the world through a different lens. Watching others make the same mistakes, paying attention to those who've figured it out and trying to understand why people do what they do rather than ridicule.
Humility is the key. Knowing that you probably don't know. That your view of the world is a result of your upbringing and most of those people didn't understand either through no fault of their own.
