What is the best alternative to twitter, from the perspective of:
- Single user
- Daily broadcasts of content around a particular topic
- Looking to build an audience who can consume (and engage with) that content
- Self ownership of identity
- Self ownership of content
After looking around I'm wondering if the answer is simply a static blog site that provides an RSS Feed...
Although with this you have no idea of your audience, and no obvious way for them to engage - without some comment management tool and corresponding database.
Other options:
- Matrix (not sure if it has good SEO though)
- Mastodon (but seems expensive to run for just a single user)
