Not a bug. Freebies can be granted visibility if some trusted person voted for it.

If a post/comment is a freebie and has <=0 weighted votes: only greeters see it and get notified if they should be notified.

If a post/comment is a freebie and has >0 weighted votes: everyone can see it.

Ah, that's smart. But why does it show up if I am logged out then? Does @anon accumulate trust to others? I thought we prevent that.

update: oh, is it because of trust seeds?

reply

Anons aren't hidden when you're logged out. They paid.

reply

i mean this post since it's a freebie post

reply

It showed up when you were logged out but it had <=0 weighted votes?

but it had <=0 weighted votes?

Mhhh, probably not. But I got confused because I thought "weighted votes" are related to which votes you trust and I thought @anon has no trust to anyone.

reply

Anon trusts who the consensus trusts. That is anon trusts global trust scores.

reply

Ah, yes, that makes sense now

reply

I don't know how weighted votes work but someone zapped it 42 sats (maybe siggy?) when I first posted and then I zapped it before I asked you about the freeibe/visibility.

Thanks
