I was primed by the [80s TV series](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_to_the_West_(1986_TV_series)), which I watched with fascination during my early childhood. Finally went on to read the Chinese version of the book at 10 years old. The Monkey King simply kicks ass!
