A friend of mine is a DBA from a liberal background who has generally bought into the standard tech skepticism of BTC ("The blockchain's just another database" etc), as well as some of the financial skepticism.
But I I finally got her to understand my interest in BTC from a purely technical POV, only talking about some of the cool stuff I'd seen and not talking about the monetary side of things at all. This intrigued her enough that in turn, I was able to get her to download Yzer so she could take a deep dive. And once she'd gone through the first few chapters, she was just as intrigued by BTC as a technology as I was, and admits that it is interesting and not just "another database."
And this in turn has gotten her to take deeper dives into the tech side of BTC and blockchains in general (since Yzer only goes so far). But without Yzer, I don't think I'd ever have gotten her to take a look at these.
She's still skeptical of the monetary side, but I'm working on it, and now that she's got some sats just from the app and is curious about the tech, I feel like it's just a matter of time before she takes the plunge. Techies can't resist playing with something that intrigues them.
Well done. You might have orange pilled someone.
I like Yzer, but sometimes my withdrawals don’t arrive safely at my ZBD wallet haha. I use it anyway because it gives me sats even if I’m not an active user.
Check out Heyapollo.com. It pays you 200 sats for every review of a BTC product you do. You can start with SN haha
