I don’t know. Bolting stuff onto Bitcoin is like putting an alter on the back of a priests car - it’s kinda handy but it would be better left in the church.
If we want Bitcoin to have additional functionality (for whatever reason) we are better off creating that in a software system and using Bitcoin as the medium of the protocol and not the method .
It's an interesting perspective, but I'm not sure I agree. L2s are definitely gaining traction, but I don't think they're the only ones who will be successful in the long run.
