Have you ever set an incredible goal but felt hesitant to share it with others? You might be onto something. Revealing your goals to everyone can actually decrease your chances of achieving them.
When we talk about our goals, we run the risk of falling into a disguised complacency. The feeling of having verbalized the goal can give us a false sense of progress, diminishing our motivation for the hard work required.
Moreover, negative comments, whether intended or not, can discourage us. People close to us, without meaning to, can throw cold water on our dreams.
So, keep your precious goals to yourself. Let the journey be your motivation. Celebrate your victories silently and surprise everyone when you achieve them!

This article made me realize that I haven't been paying enough attention to this. I'm not saying I've been irresponsible, but it's definitely something we should all be more mindful of.
