Saw this funny sign when visiting Redwood National and State Parks yesterday. Quite a few big trees there indeed!

I think so. They call it redwood, but I think it's just another name for sequoia.
Sequoioideae, commonly referred to as Redwoods, is a subfamily of coniferous trees within the family Cupressaceae, that range in the northern hemisphere.
This big fella has pretty impressive stats.

It's truly remarkable what this tree can grow into. No wonder it's one of the longest-living trees around.
