nice, never tried Linode. But you can easily upload custom NixOS images to Lunanode and DigitalOcean.
https://github.com/nix-community/nixos-generators has the appropriate target formats:
  • do for digital ocean
  • qcow for lunanode
I tried and run NixOS VPS with both.
