To be honest, I only got interested in this topic because I don't like Apple. I think everyone should follow their own conscience and decide accordingly. It doesn't make any difference to me whether they have a monopoly or not. Hahaha.
I hear ya. I don't like what they do either. I wish more people would use Linux and value privacy and freedom. Best I can do is do what I believe and set an example as a path finder.

If you use Google and android then the business practices of Apple don’t matter
reply
It doesn't matter to me personally, as it doesn't have a direct impact on my life. However, we can't afford to ignore it, as these issues could come back to bite us in the future.

Why is iOS the villain and Android gets a pass?
reply
Everyone has their own opinion, and mine is that we are all villains and victims at the same time. But regarding your question, I will answer with another question. Are the Google Store policies the same as Apple's policies? I honestly don't know the answer...
reply
Policies are different but more importantly one can install any app on an android phone. You can install any app store you want. But this is all besides the point. Its like complaining that the car I bought isn't as good as some other car. I don't think most people care all that much. That's the issue. SO really, there is no issue.
