Good signing. Was the contract structure to stay under luxury tax?

Not quite -- I think they're already over it, but they want to avoid being more over it.

Teams just starting to arb the fact that the USD will be worth a lot less in 10 years I guess. Maybe they will figure out they should keep some of those deferred commitments in Bitcoin and double the benefit of USD down and Bitcoin up in USD terms.

I hope you're right -- if there's one thing the Mets have shown, it's that they often predict things 100% wrong.
