If you run a Bitcoin Lightning Network Node, you've probably wondered: what is the optimal channel size? Or, like so many people, when you first build your own Bitcoin Lightning Node, you set up small lightning network channels to "test the water," only to realize that your lightning network node doesn't route anything. This can get expensive, as you'll have to close them and open newer, bigger channels in order to actually route anything.
Well no more! In this video, I'm going to share my experiences with running a Bitcoin lightning network node, so that you can avoid the costly mistakes that I (and most people) made when we first started running a Bitcoin node. I'll explain why you SHOULDN'T set up small channels, and what minimum channel size I recommend for any lightning network channel.
I hope you enjoy this video, and that it helps you run your own Bitcoin node just a little bit more effectively. Make sure to check out all of my other videos, because I have a ton of content on Lightning Network, How to run a Bitcoin node, and Bitcoin in general.
