There are a bunch of new soccer matches up today over at freebitcoin. I also made my first Formula 1 bets (allegedly).
I'm curious to see how my hedging strategy works out for Formula 1. There are so many possible outcomes, that I imagine some of the final odds will be very favorable.
I continue to feel great about my NBA wagers against @grayruby and @gnilma.
What's a reasonable line for how many more titles this Nuggets team will win? Probably only 1.5, but they're still amazing and all right in their primes.
How about additional Jokic MVP's? That one must be at least 2.5.
You should be feeling good. Even if the field takes down your frontrunners you will still end up ahead after you collect from both @gnilma and I on the Joker vs the field bet.
Our only hope is if Joker takes Jontay Porter's himself out of the running. Come on Joker look at those spicy player props.

I haven't lose all hope yet on my MVP bet with you guys, but with only about 10 or so games left for each team and Joker in such a big lead, I do need a miracle for SGA to win MVP, or a simple snub would also do.
With the Nuggets being this good and the core group in their prime, do you guys think the Celtics can snatch one or more championships from them?
I personally never really paid much attention of the Celtics, but I do think that JT and/or JB tends to choke in the playoffs; especially deeper in the playoffs when it matters most. I think this Celtics team would be one of those great teams with so much talent but never be able to win a Championship because of another juggernaut team. Like the 90s Jazz or the 2010s Thunder. This year they look really scary though, with the addition of Porzingis and Holiday; huge upgrade to both offense and defense and the team is firing on all cylinders. But I will continue my point of view and bet against them until they prove me wrong. They will probably make the finals, but they will not make it past the Joker and his Nuggets.

Pains me to admit it but

I completely agree with you about the Celtics. My only real reservation is that Tatum's still young enough that it wouldn't be unheard of for him to go up another level. Nobody won more games than the 90's Jazz, so that's a great comp.
I think they need to hope they don't run into the Heat, otherwise I also expect them to be in the Finals.
reply
If the Heat don't take them out, the Knicks will. If the Knicks don't get it done, the Bucks will. If the Bucks fail the Clippers will sweep them in the Finals.
reply
I think the Knicks might be tough for some teams, but regardless of how badly Tatum or Brown flop, White and Holiday will give Brunson a lot of trouble.
I would take the Bucks over the Celtics though.

Giannis is just warming up in time for the playoffs.
29 points, 21 rebounds and 11 assists last night but somehow they lost.
reply
I just finished watching the 10 minute recap. AD just flat outplayed Giannis: 34/23/2/2/4
reply
AD has games like that. Then he disappears.
Yes, was going to mention AD too. And Dlo also had a pretty good game.
What are the details of what Porter was doing?
I've always thought players should be allowed to bet on their own overs. Jokic is going to see his current prop of 47.35 points+rebounds+assists and pound the over.
reply
He is being investigated. There were some anomalies where his prop bets were the highest bet props on draftkings in games where he pulled himself out due to injury or illness.
