I just read everything now :) It's a captivating and very inspiring story. Thank you for not hiding the negative side of that lifestyle.
I would summarize it with this phrase:
It's not the destination, it's the journey.
I am particularly interested in knowing what led you not to stay in Europe. You don't have to hide anything, I know the European people and culture well enough to recognize what is not good, or bad. Maybe it was for other reasons, tell us. If you don't want to talk about it, that's perfectly fine ;)
Here are some of the things I don't like, but do know that I haven't been to the whole Europe, only sampled a few 👀
  • Most shops or restaurants close at 6 or 8 pm, and it feels like dead towns during Sundays or holidays.
  • The infrastructure is quite bad in many places, especially airports; seriously, out of all these years of traveling, and I've been to many "less developed" countries, even airports in Vietnam are way more organized than in Amsterdam. 😂
  • People are nice but quite distant, aka not really helpful...
  • Things are so much more expensive yet with average quality.
  • Lack of diversities or uniqueness, most Europeans cities feels the same tbh.
cold, empty, and dull...
Europe is big, the mentioned points mostly being generalized; however, I do like Eastern Europe!
