The other day, my friend who was gonna visit Kumamoto asked me for eating recommendations. I was stumped tbh, because the eateries that left an indelible impression in my mind were actually not Japanese.
Take this Sri Lankan 🇱🇰 restaurant for instance. Look at its mouthwatering curry chicken rice & vermicelli. It looks spicy, but you can choose your preferred level of spiciness. Perfect for people who want to enjoy a tingling sensation without their taste buds being overwhelmed. I tuck into it and gulp my Sri Lankan beer. Happiness is that simple.
The service standards are high at Japanese restaurants. I don’t know about you, but we must pay to have a glass of water when we dine out at restaurants in my home country. No such nonsense in Japan. This Indian restaurant not only serves iced water, but also provides free flow of soup.
Its set meal includes salad (yay for healthy living!), katsu (fried chicken cutlet) & keema curry rice. The vegetable curry provided a delightful, comforting contrast to the crunchy and succulent katsu. Oishii!
