Another 2 bite the dust (maybe)
@pj and @kr both suffered defeat along with Arizona last night. pj is still hanging onto a thread of hope that both Marquette and Duke will lose today, leading to tiebreaker victory, but it is a tenuous path. kr has no hope at this point, but kudos to him for a fine showing.
If only one of Duke or Marquette wins today the Madness pool will be over and we will crown a champion but if they both win we will have two players left @Turdinthepunchbowl and @StillStackinAfterAllTheseYears competing in the elite 8.
As for the rest of us who have now forgotten that a March Madness pool ever existed, we have the MLB survivor pool to look forward to.
How about those Blue Jays? 8-2 win over the Rays. 3 home runs. All in all it was a good opening day with a lot of exciting games.
