Problem: my 13-year-old students sometimes sleep in class due to poor sleeping habits.
Task: I would like you to recommend a 3-to-5 min song that can get these Gen Alpha kiddos up on their feet & feel refreshed
Winner: The best comment as voted by the "top" filter 48 hours later - coinciding with the opening of the Saloon - gets 1000 sats.
If I get zaps for this bounty, I will divide them among all the remaining participants
Incentive: I will really play your song recommendation in class and tell you my students’ reaction.

Depends if you want to give them a shock blast to wake them up.
This track used to be my alarm clock for years, never overslept 🤣🤣

I played it just now. Some of them liked it because of its noise level. I liked the video. Very sci fic!
reply
Yeah power man 5000 are very futuristic in their videos. Great fun live aswell.
reply
This one might be a bit too spooky for the kiddos :)
reply
Haha, 😂 I'm sure some of them at that age have heard much worse. Maybe it was just me but at 13 I was moving down the direction of kataklysm, cannibal corpse, behemoth and stuff like that, the heavier the better for me at that age.

This is not something kids in Asia are used to hearing, it's too aggressive. 😂
reply
Maybe we need to change what kids in Asia are hearing, one track at a time, block by block 😉
Yeah I get you, it's very... In your face, and might not sit so well with the schools overall approach.

Anything goes as long as there are no swear words or references to their favourite word s e x

13 year olds? What does the Fox Say by Ylvis
They’ll either hate it, or they’ll love it and teachers next door will think your class has turned into a zoo. Either way, they’ll be awake!

Well... That's come up from the deep dark depths of my memory right to the forefront of my consciousness... Thanks...😂😂

I suggest this, but I don't think you have the balls to actschually play it

Might as well pull back the curtain early I guess.

My alarm songs over the years. Youll probably like #2 & #4.

This is a motto that people should live by. If you wake up on the 25th of December and you don't have Noddy screaming "it's Christmas" at you... Then is it really even Christmas?

For the future Hodler :D
jokes aside, i like this one. Classic Rock-Anthems always suiting.

GnR welcome to the jungle 🤔?
Or crazy train? Those often get used as enterance/hype music
Or wrestling intros like alter bridge - metalingus?
You mentioned classic rock and set me off down the rabbit hole of classic rock and rock entry music 🤣🤣
reply
I prefer the turisas version personally cos it's got just that little bit more energy. But how about this?
Or the original if you think it's a bit too heavy.
reply
Hey, I played it today. The majority of my students didn't like this song because they dismissed it as too "old". Hahaha.
reply
🤣🤣 they don't know what they're missing with the good ol' stuff.
reply
Well at least they were awake enough to be judgy haha
reply
This might be more up their street? With silly dance moves they can do to get them moving and awake.

Let them each pick a song
