Maybe so but lightning value prop long term is it should just work. The average joe doesn’t care about some name or buzzword or tech darling platform… they just want it to work.

SN is a great use case in both identity and “it just works” built off of LN. We are all early adopters here and more tech savvy than the average user (the simple fact you are here now means you are) so we can wave the flag of the tech and discuss it.

But 2-3 years from now, micro payments for content creators or streaming will start to become the norm. When that happens we will all be happy LN infrastructure is in place and on its dev path because adoption will be there.

Nothing solves the micropayment issue like LN… add in identity management and it’s a slam dunk for many services to adopt. When they do no one will care what it is called… it will just need to work.

Money should be reliable and boring. We are still reeling from years of drama around bitcoin FOMO and FUD. It's very difficult to not get sucked in when there's so much riding on it including our personal effort.

Lightning literally makes bitcoin even more boring by taking away all the objections for its use as a "daily coffee" money. Lightning eliminates the use-cases for alts and ends the blocksize wars once and for all.

With lightning we can finally sit back, relax and enjoy a beer while the rest of the world panic sells their bags to us.
