But you can't do that. You can't simply deposit your money at the Fed
I have heard mainstream media in Germany talking about something like this. With the german government instead of the ECB.
On one hand it would be pretty useful to do taxes and stuff so easily with an direct account
On the other hand I don't want the government to have an account for every citizen. That would be so dystopian.
