If somebody asked me the same question, I would quickly reply, without a doubt, something that gets me going, may be a song?
However, sadly, Not all boredoms are same, nor is every person. Sometimes you get bored because you have emptiness of emotions — like a picture without colors, or Sometimes you're bored because your loneliness is killing you — like a dark night without moon and stars.
That's not all but in some cases you're happy yet you're bored. You can't find a reason what's bringing the indifference inside you.
It's not at all necessary that you'd want to find something to overcome the boredom. It can be anything, from beholding a nice old picture of your loved one to watching a full length movie with humour. It may be doing a little bit of your favourite work to reading a passage of motivation. It can be a little hug, a shrug, a shower, a walk, a moment of self realisation in front of a mirror or can be anything. The options are unlimited.
In my case, it has always been writing about what I want to let my mind think in the moment and write them down. I got a little bored today and thought I should write it down on @sn. This always worked for me and it is definitely working today. Within a few minutes my draught of emptiness is filled with rain of interest. Whoa! I am feeling great again.

So now you tell me, what will you do when you get bored? And, when do you get bored generally, I mean under what conditions?

Lately, I've been spending a lot of time here on stacker. In the past, I've spent way too much time on YouTube. I really like movies. I like playing Zelda. Since I quit smoking pot, I feel more inclined to work on things. I like building and fixing things. I like to tinker. I have a lot of interest and I want to find balance with them instead of getting stuck on one thing. I want to have a lot of ways to fill my time. And I don't work a regular job so I have all the time in the world. Which can be a double edge sword. I have to motivate myself which has been challenging at times.

Yeah that's definitely challenging at times but it's also super easy sometimes. You must know what works for you at best.
A little can of 🍻 may be. 🥂

The last few times I tried a drink I had no interest. I couldn't finish it. Interesting. I am getting better at knowing what I enjoy. I spent so many years just doing what others wanted from me, so I didn't know what I wanted.

That's good then, now you've moved on from errands of life to self realisation of whys and what's with your life. Congratulations bro.

It's a process. I'm getting closer. Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta.

Similar to how you described how you fill your boredom, I've come to a realization that boredom can indeed be beautiful. In times of boredom is when you can self reflect, and often it is when I'm bored that I will feel the drive to write as you do or get a creative inspiration. I think in the modern world with access to constant stimulation, we lack this essential time of boredom, where we kind of just let our mind wonder. We try and fill the void of boredom with mindless consumption of media or what have you, when sometimes it is important to just sit in our boredom and be mindfully bored if you will. It's not always pretty thoughts that arise when we begin to contemplate life when bored, but I've come to understand that it is important to acknowledge and accept all thoughts whether they be positive or negative.
