Spain has already started to move this..
The Spanish government may potentially expropriate beach apartments, hotels, or beachfront establishments. In exchange, the owners will be granted usage rights for a period of 30 years. In some cases may be extended for an additional 30 years.

I guess there won't be any more cross-country road trips for Australians then.
We're seeing pretty strong backlash forming against this stuff in America. Hopefully that will spread.

My dad follows this stuff closer than I do and he's told me that several of the major car manufacturers are abandoning EV lines for new conventional lines. It's entirely driven by consumer sentiment, obviously.
